This project involved the renovation of a three and four story 350,000 square foot early 20th century manufacturing building into one hundred forty-five High-End residential apartments. The layout of individual apartments had to be carefully integrated into the existing superstructure originally designed to support exceptionally heavy machinery of the industrial operation that operated continuously into the twenty-first century.
A total of approximately three hundred (300) bathrooms for individual apartments and public toilet rooms were planned to meet ADA requirements. A minimum of 25% of the total apartment units toilets were designed to be adaptable and all “public” toilet rooms were designed to be ADA compliant meeting New York State Building Code.
